This is not a technically correct description of how the localisation of a cell phone works. There is no use of the phone internal gps system in such a case. The transmit/receive power of the device is triangulated between several transmitter masts in order to determine its distance to each transmitter. The intersection of the measurements from at least 3 transmitters gives the approximate position. If you have one 2 measurements you get 2 possible positions and in case of only one transmitter involved you get mostly a circle line.The accuracy of this method depends on the number of transmitters involved and their positions in relation to each other, as well as the radio technology used (for example 5G-Network use smaller cells and this work better), and can go down from several hundred metres to perhaps 20-50 metres. By the way this works only on celluar mobile networks who use ground stations to connect phones. For example a satellite phone can not be tracked this way.

I went down a rabbit hole on these kinds of stories some years ago. This is called a "fugue state" and people will just up and leave, "waking up" weeks or years later somewhere far from home and claim no memory of their former lives. One thing they all had in common was a shit life that wasn't obvious to others. My conclusion is that people like this just want OUT and don't want the yelling and complications that will arise from announcing that they're going. They'd get ten million questions about where they're going, what are they wanting to do, why are you leaving us, you seem so happy, etc. Questions that, if answered honestly, would raise ten million objections and anger, where do you think you're going, don't you dare go anywhere, you're staying right here, buster. As magic pass holders I go to Disneyland at least once a month with my 6 year old. My daughter is brave kid and has no fear on ANY ride at Disney except the Matterhorn. I will say the Matterhorn is obnoxiously rough. Multiple times with no warning while they check the seat belts the operators will stop abruptly twice almost knocking my teeth out. I always wonder why they do that with no apparent reason. Also I’ve noticed about half the time Matterhorn track almost feels like it need wd40 while other times it’s smoother. My 6 year old is scared of the ride because it’s rough, she worries about her neck (I worry about her neck too), and she doesn’t like the monster (I do lol). Now having watched this I don’t want to go back on it. lol our fave ride on Disneyland side is Space mountain and on CA adventure side is Guardians of the galaxy! We have had two recent seat belt incidents involving my daughter each time giving me the most stressful experiences of my life. They rude operators didn’t hear me SCREAMING for help. One time I was forced to hold the metal harness thing up as much as I could since my daughter actually made it so tight her rib cage was hanging over it (space mountain) I was next to a the safety check person and no one acknowledged me. Other time was soaring over ca this time it was quiet and yet I screamed and ride operator had door open and let it close and did the ride. The second issue was soaring over ca and on this ride children under specific size are to use an additional seat belt because they are too small well my daughter wasn’t able to do that because they didn’t check her and didn’t listen when I screamed for help. On that the lady next to my 6 year old help her hand and I held the extra leg strap manually to make up for issue spending the entire ride under completely mom meltdown mode. Awful.

I feel really bad for the two people that hit the guy trying to pretend to be bigfoot. Turns out they were both just teenagers at the time. Doesn't seem they got charged with anything and rightly so, given that the man was head to toe in a suit made to be hard to see.

The only mistake they made was to conduct the test below the required 14000'. It is easy to slide over the failure of the auto stall system. It is easy to ignore that all way down from 3000', after the stall, the handling pilot was pulling full nose up on the side stick while the computers were holding the elevators full nose down.

JoeFischer i agree with you. I feel there may have been something going on with his mental well-being at the time. I dont believe he would go this long without letting someone know he was safe considering you know of his concerns he was having about his safety and the threats. We all know theres 3 possibilites. He killed himself, someone else did something to him, or there was something going on with his mental state feeling as if he was a burden maybe and down on himself about his life. I think someone knows something.
